Road conditions in BiH: Difficult driving due to snow and icy roads

Due to the snow that fell overnight in some parts of BiH, traffic is moving somewhat slower. Roads are icy and slippery in places this morning. There is packed snow or ice on the road on sections in higher mountainous areas, BIHAMK reported, writes Patria. 

Sections in the western and southwestern part of our country stand out in particular, where there is 2 to 5 cm of snow on the road. Additional difficulties for drivers on roads in the area of Kupres, Šuica, Livno, Glamoč and Tomislavgrad are caused by strong winds.  

Road services are intervening in all places where necessary, and drivers are urged to adjust their driving to road conditions, and we remind that possession of winter equipment is mandatory for all categories of vehicles.

Works in the area of Croatia are still ongoing at the border crossings of Bosanski Brod-Slavonski Brod and Orašje-Županja, so traffic at these crossings is slow during the day. Delays at other border crossings are no longer than 20 minutes.
 
Short delays occur on sections where rehabilitation works are being carried out and where it is mandatory to respect the posted signage.  The road routes M-17 Žepče-Nemila, M-6 Čapljina-Studenci, M-18 Tuzla-Priboj and R-414 Turbe-Banja Luka stand out.
