Stanivuković not allowed to gift first-born baby at UKC RS

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The first baby in the BH entity of Republika Srpska in 2022 is a girl born a minute after midnight at the University Clinical Centre of RS in Banja Luka.

Mayor Draško Stanivuković, by tradition, wanted to personally gift the first-born baby, however, "due to protocol" this was not allowed.

Representatives of the city authorities and the UKC traditionally gifted the first-born baby in 2022 from the Banja Luka area.

However, the entire event was overshadowed by an incident caused by the UKC management when it did not allow the mayor to personally gift the first-born baby in Banja Luka, reports Insajder.

Instead, it was decided that the director of UKC, Vlado Đajić, would do it. This decision sparked a revolt from Banja Luka's first man.

“I don't understand, is the director healthier than me?” asked Stanivuković.

“The director is the governing body of the institution,” they replied to the mayor of Banja Luka.

Draško Stanivuković was also outraged by the attitude of UKC RS employees towards him as mayor.

“Someone should have welcomed me, not me personally, but as the mayor. You must learn order. You must address me first. The City of Banja Luka is an institution,” said Stanivuković, after which he gave the gift for the first-born to Director Đajić to present instead. He reiterated once again that order must be known, reports N1.
