Stanivuković released to defend himself from freedom

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - PDP MP in the National Assembly of RS Draško Stanivuković was released tonight to defend himself from freedom, BN TV confirmed.

Stanivuković was deprived of his liberty yesterday in the courtyard of the Temple of Christ the Saviour in Banja Luka.

The RS Ministry of Internal Affairs accuses him of attempting a "coup d'état" and of "creating unrest" after he participated in the "Justice for David" protests, where thousands of citizens demand that the authorities reveal the killers of the 21-year-old youth David Dragičević.

In a statement to BN TV, Stanivuković stated that it is, as he said, a "classic fabricated case against him."

"This is political persecution. I think it is clear what this is about. They invented a coup d'état, unrest, and they are accusing me and several other people of it. The desire is to silence me, to prevent any political or human action. The system is poisoned and goes against every person who thinks freely," said Stanivuković, NAP reports.
