Standard - Željezničar 2:1, dominance of the Blues in the second half

FK Željezničar played its first match in the 3rd qualifying round of the Europa League against Belgian Standard Liège at the Maurice Dufrasne stadium, with the hosts winning 2:1, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The Blues had bad luck already in the 16th minute, as they were losing 1:0 due to an own goal by Kosorić. In the first half, they conceded another goal, and the hosts were more dominant throughout all 45 minutes.

However, in the second half, Željezničar's players took the initiative, resulting in a goal by Ognjen Đelmić in the 64th minute. Although they had several good actions until the end of the match, a bit of luck was also missing. 

It should be noted that the team selected by Milomir Odović was constantly exposed to rough play by the home players, which the referee often did not sanction. 

Once again, the Blues had the support of their Manijaci fans, who cheered them on from the first to the last minute, and an eruption of enthusiasm occurred with Đelmić's goal. Before the match, the players greeted the fans who had traveled hundreds of kilometers to support their favorites.

The return match will be played at the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium on August 6.
