Grbavica Stadium to meet Category 3 standards from October 1st

FK Željezničar informs fans, members, friends, and sponsors of the Club that FK Željezničar will complete infrastructure improvement works worth 147,444 KM by October 1st, 2017, reports Patria News Agency.

The works to be carried out are:

Pitch maintenance worth 19,949 KM, carried out by Hadžo-Stil doo. The works include verticutting and aerating the pitch, applying sand and peat, overseeding the lawn, fertilizing, removing and replacing turf with ground leveling, and drilling and repairing drainage;

Press box and locksmith works worth 7,447 KM, carried out by TMB doo. The works include manufacturing and installing aluminum carpentry, glazing the existing press box, and constructing an additional workspace for 35 press members.

Renovation of rooms under the west stand (flash room) which will serve as storage for media equipment and a changing room for ball boys. Additionally, painting works will be carried out on the entire gallery (stand area between two entrances) of the north stand and the renovation of all entrances. The value of the works is 22,409 KM, and the contractor is MDI doo.

Toilets for visiting fans (male and female) and a beverage sales area for visiting fans worth 17,614 KM, carried out by MDI doo. Although there is an already renovated toilet, a new toilet needs to be built near entrance 7 to separate and facilitate the path for visiting fans.

Construction of a new, expanded central platform for the main camera, construction of a camera platform in line with the penalty area on the stand roof, construction of a walkway above the VIP lounge and along the roof of the west stand to the platform, construction and installation of a tower and camera platform in line with the penalty area between the west and south stands, construction of a platform in the north stand for a camera, dismantling and relocating existing flagpoles, extending existing benches for substitute players, manufacturing and installing grilles on basement windows, dismantling vertical sheeting on the VIP west stand roof, manufacturing and installing a steel structure to cover debris between the east and south stands. All these works will be carried out by Albera doo, with a value of 55,346 KM;

Clearing and removal of self-grown vegetation with raking in the area next to and behind the south stand, and along the wall of the east stand parking lot. The value of the works is 21,883 KM, and the contractor is KJKP Park.

Purchase of new goals. The value is 2,796 KM, and the client is Sportnet inžinjering.

Works on the reconstruction of the floodlight system are also underway, which is the most significant item in preparing Grbavica Stadium for the national team match against Belgium, as well as for Category 3. Grbavica Stadium will be included in Category 3 after all the aforementioned works are completed! The works on the floodlight system are being carried out and financed by the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NS/FS BiH).

Last month, in addition to these works, the renovation of three rooms in the gallery on the north stand, which will be used for beverage sales, also began. The value of the works is 9,775 KM.
