What were the Čampara brothers doing in Lukač's office on February 7th when Sarajevo was burning?

The current director of the Federal Police Administration, Dragan Lukač, who reapplied for the position, admitted at the trial of the head of SIPA, Goran Zubac, that he formed a Crisis Staff on February 6th, but that on that day, as well as on February 7th when demonstrations broke out and the BiH Presidency building was set on fire, he did not inform SIPA of any findings regarding what was happening on the ground, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

As a reminder, during Lukač's examination, defense attorney Dragiša Jokić asked a set of questions regarding the role of state prosecutor Dubravko Čampara.

He asked Lukač if he had seen Čampara on February 7th.

- I don't know, very possibly - he said.

However, Jokić continued to ask if Čampara had visited the FUP that day.

- I can't remember - Lukač replied.

The defense attorney also asked if the FUP had informed Čampara that it was a terrorist offense and whether it was true that the FUP had conducted an investigation at the Presidency building, and by whose order.

- I don't know if we informed Čampara. However, we conducted an investigation at the request of the BiH Prosecutor's Office - Lukač stated.

To this, Jokić asked, "Why did Čampara turn to the FUP, and not SIPA, for the investigation?", and Lukač said that the "prosecutor thought the director was not at work that day.".

However, according to reliable information from Patria, on the day Sarajevo was burning, not only prosecutor Čampara was in Lukač's office, but also his brother Aljoša Čampara, advisor and close associate of the SDA Vice President Bakir Izetbegović.

According to eyewitnesses who were also in the Federal MUP building all day while the chaos around the BiH Presidency building was ongoing, the Čampara brothers were discussing further actions and strategy with Lukač that day, specifically how to spin the public with false information about the actual events on the streets.

Meanwhile, while the "three-member crisis staff" was in session, the FMUP special units were "sitting" in the Police Dom building in Mejtaš, waiting for Lukač to give them the signal when to start dispersing the demonstrators from the streets.

As a reminder, Patria has already written that Aljoša Čampara began to pressure the top leadership of the SDA, with the help of Izetbegović and Asim Sarajlić, for him to be elected as the new minister of the FMUP, and for Lukač to be re-elected as director, who has so far proven to be an excellent subordinate in carrying out assigned tasks.

The trial of Zubac continues on November 7th, and so far the BiH Prosecutor's Office has presented 10 witnesses out of the 27 proposed.
