What Murphy thinks, Konaković says: They would put the state of BiH on the gamble of Dragan Čović's patriotism!

Encouraged by the hypocritical statements of the US Ambassador to Sarajevo, Michael Murphy, the President of the People and Justice party, Elmedin Konaković, finally gave his opinion on the events in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly. So, Konaković speaks out about the blockade of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly only after seven months!?

That is not unusual, because he is certainly the choice of the US Embassy, and now he is obliged to support their efforts to turn the delegates in the Bosniak Caucus into anti-Dayton people, who, allegedly, are blocking BiH institutions for political points!?

And, there is much that is wrong in this performance by Konaković, who spoke with great energy on the N1 program precisely on this topic, although he had previously remained silent for many months. But, when Murphy speaks, Konaković suddenly gets his opinion.

The reason for such a decision by the delegates of the House of Peoples is the Proposal for amendments to the Law on the Constitutional Court of BiH, proposed by SDS member Želimir Nešković.

What is controversial in this proposal is the removal of foreign judges from the Constitutional Court! Due to the danger that such a law could be adopted with five votes from the Serb Caucus and four votes from the Croat Caucus, the Bosniak Caucus had no other choice but to prevent the possibility of such a proposal passing in the House of Peoples by not attending the session.

It is important to note, which neither the US Embassy nor Konaković did, that delegates attend all emergency sessions of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly where important decisions are adopted, such as the Budget of Institutions for 2024 or amendments to the Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council...

But, for Konaković, who is too brave, that information is not important; what is important is that he assesses that one should act more wisely!?

"I consider the blockade of the House of Peoples by all delegates from the Bosniak Caucus, including Kemal Ademović from People and Justice, to be completely wrong. If there had been no blockade, we would have had two next steps – to see whether the HDZ would indeed support such a grotesque constitutional proposal. I think it would have fallen already in the House of Peoples itself, and those were my expectations," Konaković said for N1.

Clearly inclined towards gambling rather than reasonable political moves, Konaković, on Murphy's behalf, puts Bosniaks at the mercy of forces that have not shown a single move so far that they care about the state of BiH, because if that were the case, the Croat Caucus would not have supported putting this item on the agenda either. It's not that the delegates from the Bosniak Caucus did not warn about this!

Konaković also spoke very crudely about how it would be politically wise to "mock" the proposer and that this would reveal the true face of the HDZ.

And, we saw the true face of the HDZ when amendments to the Election Law of BiH were adopted, which passed the House of Peoples, and then the law was put on hold, waiting for a suitable moment, more precisely, the existence of a majority that would accept this law in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly as well.

A similar scenario could occur in this case, and that somewhere in drawers there is still a living law that causes great damage to the state of BiH, with everything depending on a few hands within the House of Representatives. Because four or five 'konakovićs' within the House of Representatives would enable Dodik and Čović to push through their wishes, which would ultimately become reality.

However, how serious Konaković is and how much he cares about the opinion of the delegates in the Bosniak Caucus was shown by his statement that he did not even talk to Kemal Ademović (NiP)!?

"I did not talk to him, but that way we would force the HDZ to show its true colors. So, if the HDZ voted at all, they would show their true face, but I still think they would not do that.

We heard HDZ representatives publicly say they would not support it. But what is most important, and even if they did, it is very important to emphasize, the House of Representatives would, in a serious discussion in front of cameras for the entire public to see, tear up such a document, put it in the trash where it belongs; such a document cannot pass," Konaković says.

Thus, the Minister of Foreign Affairs would mock, tear up, essentially play with important state issues without prior serious discussions or analyses of what could happen, and we all know what the ultimate goal of such proposals is.

With a vocabulary more suited to the street than to BiH institutions or someone holding the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, one should also know that Konaković does not even know who sits in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, so he persistently says that the SDA has three delegates, although it is clear that the Bosniak Caucus in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina consists, besides SDA members Šefik Džaferović and Safet Softić, of Dženan Đonlagić (DF), Džemal Smajić (SBiH), and Kemal Ademović (NiP), who is the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples.

But, facts are not important to Konaković when he goes into action with Murphy, who also uses the same arguments while attacking the Bosniak Caucus. It is strange that neither of them talks about the possibility of withdrawing this proposal from the agenda, to avoid the possibility of the law remaining alive, just like the Election Law according to Dragan Čović's wishes.

Christian Schmidt should also join them in action, and following the example of the suspension of the Bosniak people and the Vice President of the Federation of BiH, suspend the will of Bosniaks in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH as well.

It is obvious that what bothers Konaković and Murphy the most is unity, because despite belonging to different parties, the Bosniak Caucus has always had a unified stance when it comes to possible outvoting and issues concerning the Constitution of BiH.
