What does the statute say: Will the FA of BiH also be left without a president?

The Federal Police Administration has submitted a report on a criminal offense to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo against Ivan Veličan, director of Sarajevo International Airport, Bakir Karahasanović, former director of the airport, and Elvedin Begić, current assistant director of Sarajevo Airport and president of the Football Association of BiH (FA of BiH).

All three are suspected of abuse of position and authority, concluding a harmful contract, and negligent work in service, causing damage to Sarajevo International Airport in the amount of 1.7 million marks.

The news spread through BiH, and as the Patria news agency learns, the Football Association could, after coach Safet Sušić, also be left without a president, because according to the statute, the Executive Board can request his suspension.

- The Executive Board may put the dismissal of an individual or body on the agenda of the General Assembly. The Executive Board may temporarily dismiss an individual or body, which takes effect immediately, if such a person has committed a serious violation of the Statute, regulations or decisions made based on the Statute, or has committed a serious criminal offense. A member of the Executive Board may submit a proposal to put such a dismissal request on the agenda of the Executive Board or the General Assembly - it is stated in the Statute of the Football Association of BiH.

As is known, the Executive Board of the FA of BiH is meeting tomorrow, and some members of the EB were shocked by this information about the criminal charges filed against Begić.

So, tomorrow, in addition to Safet Sušić's report and the story about the new coach, it will be possible to start talking about President Begić.
