What's in it, we'll find out later: Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina gets Budget in the shadow of 'illegality' and speed

(Patria) - Delegates of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Proposal of the FBiH Budget for 2024 with 45 votes "for", eight "abstentions" and five "against". All amendments, as in the House of Representatives last night, were received.

This year's budget was proposed by the Federal Government in the amount of 7,474,800,209 KM, the largest so far and half a billion KM higher compared to last year's budget.

With claims from the opposition, which will also appeal to the Constitutional Court, that the session was convened illegally, representatives complained that they had only one day to consider the budget because it was adopted under an urgent procedure.

The FBiH Government rejected all amendments.

In the House of Peoples of the FBiH, the adoption was much faster compared to the House of Representatives, given that there were significantly fewer amendments and discussions.
