For some time now, certain leadership positions have been vacant in the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), including some of the most important departments such as: the Criminal Investigation Department (KIO), the position of the Commander of the Special Support Unit, and others.
As confirmed by the Agency to the Patria News Agency, the job positions are vacant due to the retirement of a certain number of management officials, writes the BH News Agency Patria.
- Until the official filling of the mentioned positions, the duties and tasks of the management officials are being carried out by the highest-ranking officers in the organizational units – says Kristina Jozić, spokesperson for SIPA.
As Patria learns, each of the parties in power would like a certain number of leadership positions, but so far there are no indications that they have managed to reach an agreement.
However, it is interesting that at the hearing of Fahrudin Radončić, president of SBB and delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, a certain Suad was mentioned, referred to as "the future", and as the prosecutor explained, Suad was supposed to take over the leadership position of the KIO. Whether his mention in this process will be an obstacle for that function, time will tell.
The position of the Commander of the Special Support Unit of SIPA has been vacant since the appointment of the former commander Mirsad Vilić as the director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH.
After that, it is known that Goran Zubac, former convicted director of SIPA, appointed the controversial Jovica Mirosavljević, known as Chetniks, as acting commander of the Special Unit. Mirosavljević, under threat of criminal responsibility, voluntarily left SIPA after Perica Stanić became director and went on a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine.
However, as a source from the BiH Prosecutor's Office reveals, this will not absolve him of potential responsibility in the investigation following a report filed with this institution by SIPA employees.
The subject of the report includes illegal transfers of undesirables, assignment of police officers to the duties of employees, unlawful use of coercive means and unlawful deprivation of liberty, providing false information to the Ministry of Security's operational center during floods, and distribution of SIPA uniforms donated by ICITAP to various unauthorized persons.
And while political parties at the BiH level and coalitions, whose existence is now questionable, skillfully negotiate over positions in public enterprises, the indolence of Bakir Izetbegović, leader of SDA, who publicly spoke about the discrimination of Bosniaks in this most important police agency in BiH, is surprising. Therefore, it is not unimportant to note that after Mirosavljević's departure, Dalibor Milošević became the acting commander of the Special Unit, against whom a report has also been filed with the BiH Prosecutor's Office. Although SIPA did not want to confirm that Milošević is indeed leading this unit, Jozić said that these duties are being performed by the highest-ranking police officer in the unit until the official filling of the mentioned position.
