Secondary Medical School Sarajevo Receives 5,500 Marks Donation from Municipality

Although the Municipality of Centar does not have direct jurisdiction over education, it has been allocating significant funds from its budget for many years to improve the education system and the working conditions of kindergartens, elementary, and secondary schools located within its territory. The Municipality of Centar Sarajevo allocated 5,500 marks from its 2016 budget for the Secondary Medical School Sarajevo, continuing its long-standing commitment to improving the working conditions in this educational institution, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

According to the acting director of the school, Sadina Kešo, the allocated funds in the amount of 5,500 KM will be used for the renovation of classroom floors.

- The funds we received from the Municipality of Centar will greatly improve the work in this secondary school institution. The school building is quite old, and because of that, we have major problems, not only with the floors but with many other things. We will use the donated funds to renovate the floors in four classrooms where the worn-out linoleum is currently located. This is a matter of safety for both students and teaching staff, and that is why we are very grateful to the Municipality of Centar for showing great understanding of our needs - Kešo said.

We remind that the Municipality of Centar has also allocated financial resources in previous years to improve the working conditions in this secondary school institution, including 25,000 KM for the arrangement of the schoolyard, 15,000 KM for equipping classrooms and the physical education hall with necessary inventory, and 9,000 KM for the procurement of teaching aids for the practical and theoretical instruction cabinet.
