Srebrenica streets full until the morning hours

Although Srebrenica is almost a deserted town in eastern Bosnia during the year, tonight it became too small to accommodate all the guests who came to mark the 20th anniversary of the greatest genocide on European soil after World War II, which is being commemorated in this town and around the world on July 11, reports the reporter of the BH News Agency Patria.

Local motels are full, as are private homes, a large number of guests are accommodated in the school, and some will welcome today in the streets, in tents, or simply in sleeping bags in some of Srebrenica's parks.

The local population explains that Srebrenica comes alive a few days before July 11 every year, but life in the city begins to quiet down as early as July 12, writes Patria.
