Srebrenica: Lajčak opened a new playground and paid respects to the victims of genocide

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia, Miroslav Lajčak, ceremonially opened a multi-purpose playground in Srebrenica today, reports a reporter for the Patria news agency.
The construction of the playground was financed by the Government of Slovakia with a value of 70,000 euros. The initiative for this project was launched by Munir Pašagić from Srebrenica, who lives in Slovakia.

- My great wish has been fulfilled. I am glad that Mr. Lajčak is here with us because the Slovak people are great friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I would like many new friendships to be made on this playground, said Pašagić.

Lajčak said that it is very important for him to come to Srebrenica.

- I could not come on July 11th, but I promised to come and pay my respects to the victims of genocide. On the other hand, I am glad to be here so we can do something for the future - said Lajčak.

The Mayor of Srebrenica, Ćamil Duraković, emphasized that this project is proof of how words turn into deeds, and that it is not just a new field for the people of Srebrenica, but also a sign of friendship with Slovakia.
