"A Serb must not strike a Serb for the sake of Muslims, Albanians and other Serbian enemies"

In the center of Novi Pazar yesterday, a group of members of the Chetnik movement, intending to attend a memorial service at Peter's Church and march through Novi Pazar, were prevented by several dozen fans who were ready to "defend the city from Chetniks." Although there were fears of an incident, everything ended peacefully, recalls the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

On this occasion, today the website cetnicki-pokret.com issued a statement for the public: "Occupied Serbia-Novi Pazar." 

"The Chetnik movement, consistent in all its actions so far, set out for Novi Pazar to mark the anniversary of the liberation of this city from Turkish slavery on October 23, 1912.

We did not report the duly announced memorial service and the initiative to erect a monument to General Mihailo Živković, the legendary Serbian commander of the defense of Belgrade two years later, to the police. Why would we report a memorial service and why would the police be interested in a civic initiative to erect a monument to the general who liberated Novi Pazar.

The Chetnik movement sent an invitation to all, absolutely all national organizations, movements and associations (those you have heard of and those you haven't), to join our initiative and together, unitedly, fraternally show that only unity saves the Serbs. But unfortunately, everyone responded to the messages, but not a single leader, chief, vojvoda, nationalist, of all those associations, parties and movements approved going 'there where they will kill us.' Fear for life overcame love for the homeland. Some more impudent ones even started with statements that we, members of the Chetnik movement, are 'people of intolerance and those who do not think well of Serbia...' and a series of other stupid accusations, all in hiding their own fear and incompetence.

The disappointing 'heroism and love for Serbia' shown only in Belgrade at some stupid protests and rallies where those marchers are safe, led commander Bratislav Živković to issue an order and form a strike group which he named 'Detachment Mihailo Živković.' The plan was for this strike group to break through to Novi Pazar while the others, who did not know the plan, were to follow the protocol and serve as a decoy.

Unfortunately, the car from Montenegro was stopped at the very start, the van from the Republika Srpska was held at the border crossing until 10:00 AM, the deputy commander Zoran Anrejić and the 'Belgrade group' were held at the police station for an informational interview, the 'northern group' (northern Kosovo and Metohija) and the 'Kopaonik group' were intercepted and turned back. The strike group commanded by Bratislav Živković managed to reach the Žiča monastery on the Raška road, where they stopped to light candles and pray. Upon leaving the monastery, the police, representatives of the BIA and the top of the police administration with Terzić at the head were waiting for our group.

In the conversation with police representatives, of which there is a complete video recording, the following points were presented to us:

1- the Chetniks have not committed a single offense so far

2- we have every right to hold a memorial service in Novi Pazar

3- we have the right to walk and drive around Serbia wherever we wish if we do not cause disturbances

4- today we cannot continue towards Novi Pazar and they will physically prevent us from doing so if necessary.

The commander withdrew his men for a discussion, where we all concluded that today and never must a Serb strike a Serb for the sake of Muslims, Albanians and other Serbian enemies. Commander Bratislav Živković stated that this is a disgrace for the state of Serbia, that we know Zukorlić and Vučić made a compromise about this. Vučić promotes Zukorlić as a man of peace while the latter 'places himself at his disposal,' as he himself said during an appearance on TV Happy. A shame and disgrace for the top of the Serbian state. 

From Žiča to our homes in Trstenik, Kruševac, Niš and Kuršumlija, the police provided an escort with rotations, and afterwards also a guard in front of our homes 'just in case.' However, the Kruševac Chetniks did not like this, leading to a physical confrontation with police officers, and three members were taken to the police station. Charges will be filed against them for assaulting officials.

We, members of the Chetnik movement, did everything to keep our word. We went unarmed, which the police also verified and could not believe that we were so 'brave or crazy,' but that we are people of our word. By this, we call on the police to remove the plaque to the Albanian villain Aćif Bljuta (Efendija) in Novi Pazar as soon as possible, because we will remove it ourselves, but this time not publicly, but through a Chetnik action, in two, three or six months, but it will be removed.
