(Patria) - The Government of Republika Srpska (RS) declared September 27th a Day of Mourning in Republika Srpska due to, as they stated, the tragic events in Kosovo.
The decision to declare a day of mourning was made by the RS Government at a telephone session.
Flags at institutions will be flown at half-mast. Television and radio content, as well as all sports and entertainment events planned for that day, will be adapted to the day of mourning, it was announced from the RS Government Bureau for Public Relations.
Previously, mourning was announced in Belgrade for the members of the armed group who were killed after clashes with the Kosovo police, following the killing of a police officer in Kosovo. This was also commented on by Edi Rama, who assessed this as the worst signal Serbia could send to the region and the Euro-Atlantic community.
Rama stated on the social network X that Belgrade should have opened a serious investigation into the members of "this criminal group, their connections with arms dealers and other individuals or entities potentially involved in creating an armed movement in northern Kosovo".
