Harsh condemnations of the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip are coming from various parts of the world, but apart from verbal support, there are no concrete steps to stop the bloodshed of innocent people, writes the Patria news agency.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu also stated last night that his country has called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations (UN) Security Council, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the UN Human Rights Council due to the Israeli ground invasion of Gaza.
There have been countless OIC conferences and influential figures from the Islamic world so far, but no concrete help for the Palestinians has been provided. Precisely because of this, one photograph has flooded social media, showing OIC members literally sleeping during a speech at the conference on Gaza. And without any shame.
Therefore, disappointed people say, it should come as no surprise that the Palestinians have been left to fend for themselves.
