Sprind does not consider bread price increase: Consumers come first

The food industry Sprind d.d. Sarajevo is currently not considering an increase in bread prices. Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be able to buy Sprind's bakery products at the same prices in the future, and the company guarantees top quality. 

Sprind believes that basic foodstuffs should be available to citizens at the lowest possible prices, and as a socially responsible company, Sprind will contribute in this regard.

As reported by the media, the Association of Bakers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has announced an increase in the prices of bread and pastries. This year's drought has not affected wheat production in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a good harvest of this grain has been recorded. However, due to the poor corn harvest, livestock farmers are forced to give wheat to animal feed instead of to mills. In this regard, millers have also announced a 20 to 30 percent increase in flour prices.

The company Sprind d.d. Sarajevo issued a statement emphasizing that they are not considering an increase in bread prices. 

- Sarajevo food industry Sprind monitors developments in the wheat market, but we are not currently considering an increase in bread prices. Consumers are our priority, and we do not want to further burden their budgets. We believe that basic foodstuffs should be available to all citizens at the lowest possible prices - it was stated.

Sprind d.d. Sarajevo was founded in 1982. The company is among the bakery industries with the longest tradition in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They have the most modern equipment for the production of all types of bread and pastries, semi-finished frozen foods based on puff and yeast dough, phyllo dough, pies, sandwiches, and confectionery products. Sprind produces 6,000 tons of food annually and employs more than 160 workers, making it one of the largest food producers in BiH.
