Indictment being prepared against Dodik for purchase of villa in Dedinje

(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been holding an open criminal proceeding against Milorad Dodik for a considerable period due to the criminal purchase of a villa in Dedinje and money laundering, for which there is solid evidence.

The criminal proceeding relates to the "Pavlović Bank" case, which has been awaiting a resolution for over seven years. It concerns the purchase of a villa in the Belgrade neighborhood of Dedinje, which Dodik bought on May 14, 2007, for 750,000 euros.

Although he claimed to have paid for the villa with money from a loan, it turned out that he only took out the loan at Pavlović Bank a year later, on June 27, 2008, which led to a reasonable suspicion that the loan only served as cover.

To make matters worse for Dodik, the loan application was certified with the seal of the Government of Republika Srpska, which he led as Prime Minister during that period. Slobodan Pavlović, the owner of Pavlović Bank, who died in a traffic accident last December, also received a loan from the Investment-Development Bank of Republika Srpska in the amount of five million KM after the controversial loan was approved.

According to the latest information, the BiH Prosecutor's Office is on the verge of filing an indictment in this case, and given the solid and unambiguous evidence, Dodik will hardly avoid a verdict and sentence, reveals the portal banjaluka-24.com.

The United States Department of the Treasury recently imposed sanctions on the BiH Presidency member and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik due to his corrupt activities, where he is accused of establishing a corrupt network in BiH from which he and his associates benefit.
