After only three months of the new Sarajevo Canton Government, from which the Party for BiH was expelled, and two ministers from Damir Marjanović's party were appointed despite the Independent List having formally only one representative, the "Trojka" parties cannot hide their dissatisfaction with the work of these ministers.
One of the "Trojka" parties states that the "Minister of Finance Afan Kalamujić is trying to act important" and that they have to beg him even for the most basic opinions needed for regular work, thus slowing them down and creating unnecessary pressure on employees.
Regarding the Minister of Higher Education Adna Mesihović, her first 100 days were spent visiting and meeting with universities and faculties, and during that time, the lives of students residing in dormitories have not improved by even a millimeter. However, changes to the Law on Higher Education of Sarajevo Canton are once again being prepared.
This week, news spread that the "independent" representative Redžo Lemezan, who left the Our Party, is strengthening the ranks of the SDP. This would give the SDP seven representatives, the same number officially held by NIP. Independent representative Elza Gaković, after leaving SBiH, can also be seen at People and Justice gatherings.
While the SDP did not deny this transfer, Lemezan announced on social media that false news is being spread about him becoming a member of the SDP. But as the devil is usually in the details, Lemezan's statement actually hints that a change of political affiliation will occur, just not at this moment.
"The SDP is a strong and serious political party with a serious history, a party I greatly respect, a party with which I am a partner in the Sarajevo Canton Government, whose officials such as President Bećirović, Mayor Karić, Minister Šteta, and former colleague Irfan Čengić, among others, I highly value, but the information that I am becoming a member of that party at this moment is not true," stated Lemezan.
He further emphasized that when he decides to become a member of a party, he will inform the citizens himself.
Lemezan heads a club consisting of Elza Gaković and Admela Hodžić, and Damir Marjanović, whose workplace is in Zagreb.
One of the NIP representatives told Patria that there will be no change in the Sarajevo Canton Government, regardless of whether Lemezan becomes a member of the SDP or not.
However, it is evident that there are problems within the parliamentary majority. Although the new Sarajevo Canton Government was confirmed with 21 votes in favor, most key decisions or reports are adopted with 19 votes. The "Trojka" parties (SDP, NIP, Our Party) have 17 votes, and with Lemezan, Hodžić, Gaković, and Marjanović, that should be 21. However, it is clear that this club has its own objectives and does not blindly follow the "Trojka".
Thus, at the last session, the Draft Urban Plan of Sarajevo Canton, a key document for the future of Sarajevo Canton, was adopted with 19 votes in favor.
