
(Patria) - The unions of civil servants and employees of the Sarajevo, Tuzla, and Herzegovina-Neretva cantons signed an agreement at a meeting in Sarajevo and submitted a request for a meeting with the Prime Minister and the Ministers of Justice and Finance of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as with the President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH, announced the Sarajevo cantonal union.
After the signing, it was emphasized that the goals are improving inter-union cooperation and information exchange, as well as protecting the interests of the workers these unions represent.
The unions committed to working together on improving working conditions, fighting against discrimination and injustice in the work environment, and promoting equality and solidarity among civil servants and employees working in all state service bodies in the territory of the Federation of BiH. The agreement is a significant step in improving working conditions and protecting the interests of these civil servants and employees.
This type of agreement sends a strong message of solidarity and unity as key elements in the fight for fairer and more humane working conditions.
At today's meeting, it was concluded that the unions will, as needed, jointly organize mutual working meetings, as well as meetings with relevant ministries and other institutions, strikes, protests, public addresses, and other activities that will contribute to a better status for workers.
The status of civil servants and employees in the FBiH was discussed, and a message was sent that the unions are starting a fight and consolidation at the level of the Federation of BiH, as this is an evident need and demand of numerous members.
Requests for a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Nermin Nikšić, Minister of Justice of the FBiH Vedran Škobić, Minister of Finance of the FBiH Toni Kraljević, and President of the HJPC of BiH Sanin Bogunić were agreed upon and signed. The requests will be forwarded tomorrow to the protocol of the respective institutions.
The signatories of the agreement are Elvis Zornić, President of the Independent Union of Civil Servants and Employees of Sarajevo Canton; Nedžad Vrbić, President of the Independent Union of Civil Servants and Employees of the Judiciary in Tuzla Canton; and Mila Ćorić, President of the Unified Union of Civil Servants and Employees of the Judiciary in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
