Friday marks the 19th anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Agreement, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).
Dayton, or the peace agreement, stopped the bloody conflicts in BiH, which lasted from 1992 to 1995, and began with Serbian aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The agreement was signed at the Right-Paterson Air Force Base near Dayton, in the U.S. state of Ohio, by the President of BiH Alija Izetbegović, Serbian President Slobodan Milošević, and Croatian President Franjo Tuđman.
The conference lasted from November 1 to 21, 1995.
The agreement was officially signed at the Élysée Palace in Paris on December 14, 1995, writes NAP.
