Špirić left without the Commission for Supervision of the Agency for Prevention and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The House of Representatives of the State Parliament rejected the proposal of the Joint Collegium of the Parliamentary Houses by which delegate to the House of Peoples Nikola Špirić (SNSD) would be appointed to the Commission for the Election and Monitoring of the Work of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption.

There was a lot of talk about Špirić's appointment in recent days, and many considered his appointment to the aforementioned commission to be illogical, as he has been on the US blacklist for two years due to his involvement in corruption.

The appointments of Amir Fazlić (SDA) and Bariša Čolak (HDZ) were also rejected.

The fact that Nikola Špirić is in a corruption pit is also indicated by the fact that his wife Nada Špirić, and son and daughter, Aleksandar and Jovana, are also on the blacklist.

The decision on sanctions for Špirić and his family was made personally by Mike Pompeo, Secretary of State.

The State Department then stated that Špirić was "involved in significant corruption." It is added that this long-time member of SNSD is involved in gaining benefits based on public corruption, including accepting inappropriate benefits in exchange for his work as a public official who interfered in public processes, all during his mandate as a representative in the House of Representatives of BiH.
