Imperial Russian Ballet Spectacle: Sarajevo Audience Enjoyed Swan Lake

A ballet spectacle "Swan Lake" performed by the dance ensemble of the Imperial Russian Ballet was held in the Olympic Complex Zetra on Friday, March 4, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The most famous white ballet composed by P. I. Tchaikovsky, the Sarajevo audience enjoyed a spectacular scene, top-notch sound and lighting with large projection screens and phenomenal scenography and costume design.

The dance ensemble brought together 40 artists from the best ballet schools in Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Perm. They operate under the mentorship of renowned ballet teachers, and their work is based on performances of classical ballet works, as well as works by contemporary authors.

The Imperial Russian Ballet was founded in 1994 by Gediminas Taranda, a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre, recipient of numerous awards for dancers and choreography, and Nikolay Anokshin, a soloist of the Igor Moiseev Ensemble, at the initiative of prima ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, the mother of the queen of Russian ballet and a symbol of the Bolshoi Theatre.
