Special forces also guard delegates inside the building, Union announces massive turnout of workers from 3 PM

The building of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is literally under police siege, with around 500 police officers guarding the delegates of the House of Peoples who are in session and the Parliament building, reports a reporter from the Patria news agency.

Around 200 police officers are guarding the entrance to the building, as protesters have announced they might enter the building if the Labor Law is adopted. In addition to police officers outside, there is a large number of special forces inside the building ensuring the smooth holding of the House of Peoples session.

Selvedin Šatorović, Vice President of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said today in his address to the delegates of the House of Peoples of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina that it is deplorable that delegates who invoke citizens' rights are protected by police so they can violate those rights.

- We cannot say what will all happen; that decision will be made by the House of Peoples, which is located in front, not inside the building of the Federal Parliament. I do not know how the situation will unfold further. I can tell you that at 3 PM, more workers will join the demonstrations and will block the institutions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Šatorović.

Also, as reported by a Patria reporter, there is a kind of chaos among the union members, as some are demanding the session be interrupted, while others are not in favor of that option and demand that the Labor Law not be adopted.
