Spahović second time without an opponent: Rakić allegedly threatened, withdrew from the match!

FFC 7 in Sarajevo, scheduled for this Friday at the Skenderija hall, has a new "main event" for the MMA part. Specifically, Tomislav Spahović has already got his third opponent after the withdrawal of the undefeated German Nicolai Salchow, and now Austrian Aleksandar Rakić.

"The Beast" will cross gloves with Bulgarian Kamen Georgiev (20-9). The reason for Rakić's withdrawal is not an injury, but, as claimed by his team Gym 23 in Vienna, telephone threats that Aleksandar and his family have been receiving, related to his nationality, i.e., whether he comes to or does not come to Sarajevo.

His clubmate, Darko Banović, who was born in Sarajevo and lives in Vienna, will also not perform in Skenderija. He also allegedly received death threats if he came to Sarajevo and, like Rakić, ultimately decided to cancel his appearance.

That the duo will indeed not perform at the event in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina was revealed yesterday by the president of FFC, Orsat Zovko. However, according to his words, it was clear that he was not overly convinced by this "story" and believes that the reasons lie elsewhere, not in the alleged threats to the parents of the two fighters.

FFC has held events in almost all countries of the region, and fighters from all parts of former Yugoslavia have performed, and there has never been the slightest incident. Moreover, fighters of all nationalities have always been accepted in the best possible way, and the flag under which they performed was secondary. FFC in Sarajevo has undergone many changes from the original fight list, but the most important information for the Sarajevo audience is that all their fighters will perform on Friday.

Dževad Poturak will clash with Spaniard Frank Munoz, Elmir Mehić will cross gloves with Tomislav Čikotić, Dženan Poturak will fight against Serb Strahinja Denić, and Tomislav Spahović against Bulgarian Kamen Georgiev.
