Spahović to fight Austrian MMA prospect Rakić

Tomislav "The Beast" Spahović has a new opponent in the "main event" of the MMA part of FFC 7, scheduled for exactly two weeks from now in Sarajevo (Skenderija hall). German Nicolai Salchow withdrew from the match due to, as we learned, unsolvable personal problems, and will be replaced by Austrian MMA prospect Aleksandar Rakić.

We remind you that Rakić also lost his opponent a few days ago, as he was originally supposed to fight the winner of FFC Futures, Martin Batur, at the same event. However, as Batur broke his hand in training, the Austrian of Serbian descent was waiting for a new opponent. Fortunately for the organizers, both Spahović and Rakić are great prospects in the light heavyweight division, so it was quite logical to pair them against each other in the main fight of the evening.

The "Sarajevo Beast" currently has six wins and five losses in his professional career, while in the FFC ring he has an impressive 2-0 record. First, he knocked out Swede Christian Golčić in Split (FFC03), and in his last FFC 14 appearance in Ljubljana, he won by points against Hungarian Sándor Okras. Rakić "made a name for himself" at FFC 16 in Vienna when he defeated Polish MMA prospect Marcin Prachni in a great fight. He has a 4-1 career record and boasts impressive physical predispositions, just like Spahović.
