Spahić: Sarajevo Peace Talks Seek Way Out of Social Crisis

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the international festival „Sarajevo Winter“ is organizing a panel discussion, Sarajevo Peace Talks, which will be held on Friday, March 21 at 11:00 AM at the Grand Hotel.

As stated by the Director of the "Sarajevo Winter" Festival, Ibrahim Spahić, these talks are dedicated to seeking a way out of the general social crisis.

- Events in our country and the world, the dramatic increase in the gap between the developed and underdeveloped, the rich and the poor, the absence of social justice and civil freedoms and rights are at the center of interest of our Sarajevo Peace Talks. Sarajevo Winter invites you to take an active part in the Sarajevo Peace Talks and the formulation of the Sarajevo Appeal - said Spahić.

Invited participants are actors of civil society from BiH and the world who wish to participate in the dialogue about possible solutions to the crisis in order to create basic prerequisites for peace, freedom, and development.

This year's motto of the 30th Sarajevo Winter is Peace, Art, and Freedom (PAFF), but due to the unrest that broke out on February 7, the official opening of the Festival was canceled. On that occasion, Director Spahić said that it is important to show solidarity with the citizens.
