Spahić: We will never forget our brothers, our Krajišnici

Former Bosnia and Herzegovina national team captain Emir Spahić and current captain Edin Džeko have spoken out on social media on the anniversary of the death of three fierce Krajišnici who died in a traffic accident while returning from Lithuania, reports the Patria news agency.

The streets of Kaunas were flowing with blue and yellow fans, song and celebration could be heard far away. Celebrations took place all over the world until the early morning hours. Pride overcame fatigue... And then, just before dawn, news arrived from somewhere in Poland... three young KRAJIŠNICI, three sons of Bosnia and Herzegovina lost their lives returning home from Lithuania, where they went to support us and help us make history! Our brothers, thank you for every second of attention, worry, nervousness, song, silence.... We will never forget you, NEVER!!!! – wrote Spahić.

Incidentally, today marks one year since the death of three Bosnia and Herzegovina national team fans in Poland. Hasib Mahmić, Vildan Pehlić and Almir Kasumović, members of the fan group "Ljuti Krajišnici", died in a tragic accident that occurred on October 16, 2013 in the Polish town of Łomża, 150 kilometers from Warsaw.
