Emir Spahić, former captain of the BiH national team who retired from the national jersey, addressed social media before tonight's duel between BiH and Cyprus, writes the Patria News Agency (NAP). 

- Although I am now just a loyal fan of the BiH national team, I am getting more and more nervous before tonight's match at Bilino Polje. I can't wait for the Dragons to run onto the pitch and for the match to start. Good luck, brothers, and may God protect you!!! Together to new victories - Spahić wrote.

Spahić debuted for the BiH national team against Romania on June 7, 2003, in the qualifiers for the European Championship in Portugal, and since then he has played a total of 77 matches and scored three goals.

He is the longest-serving captain of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with whom he achieved the greatest success in history last year - qualification for the World Cup in Brazil.
