(Patria) - I fear that Darko Ćulum deliberately left the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) without leaders, i.e., persons who can sign orders for any activities and operational work in the field, said the Chairman of the SDA Caucus in the BiH Parliament, Šerif Špago, in tonight's FTV show "Odgovorite ljudima".
Špago says that Nenad Stevandić, a fugitive from BiH justice and president of NSRs, who returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina from Serbia last night, did not cross the BiH border properly, but did so in some illegal manner, reports Patria.
- I think we have professional people in the BiH Border Police and the BiH Intelligence-Security Agency (OSA) who would certainly not ignore a central warrant, because they were legally obliged to react if they came into contact with a person on that warrant.
The question is for the BiH Border Police, and also for the BiH OSA. Because, it was known where Stevandić was, and that those agencies failed to locate him on the way from Belgrade to Banja Luka.
Of course, we also have certain problems in our state-level security agencies, we have people who are appointed politically, and the resignation of SIPA Director Darko Ćulum is proof of that.
We are coming to a situation where we do not know who will lead one of the most important security agencies in BiH from tomorrow. In the last seven days, both Ćulum and the directors of other agencies have convinced us in the Defense and Security Commission that they will act according to the law, that the agencies are ready to perform their legal duties.
But now we see that these agencies are collapsing at the first hurdle. When everything is fine in BiH, then they are all capable directors, they know how to work, but when they need to perform their duties in certain security-challenging times, they run away from responsibility and their jobs.
I fear that Darko Ćulum deliberately left SIPA without leaders, i.e., persons who can sign orders for any activities and operational work in the field. That authorization of a person who is no longer at the head of SIPA is not valid with his departure, i.e., retirement - said Špago, reports Patria.
He points out that he also fears that we have reached a certain blockade.
- Tomorrow is a session of the BiH Council of Ministers, I am not sure that the ministers from the Serb people will support the appointment of an acting director or acting deputy director of SIPA.
I fear that from tomorrow, the most important law enforcement agency - SIPA - will not have a person at its head who can lead and issue orders for the operational work of SIPA police officers - added Špago.
