Sorensen: Tihić's ability to look to the future was exemplary

Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative, Ambassador Peter Sorensen, said he was deeply saddened by the news of the death of SDA President Sulejman Tihić, writes the BiH news agency Patria. 

"My thoughts are with his family. At this time, on my own behalf and on behalf of the European Union, I join many others across Bosnia and Herzegovina who have expressed their condolences. Sulejman Tihić leaves behind a huge contribution to the political and social life of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He lived through difficult and historic times in this country, as one of its key leaders," Sorensen stated. 

He added that he valued his wisdom, views, and tireless readiness to work for the common good. 

"I had only the highest professional and personal respect and appreciation for him. His calmness, openness, and ability to look to the future were truly exemplary. Countless times I personally saw him working relentlessly and going the extra mile to reach an agreement," said the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH.
