Election results must be respected, and allegations of irregularities investigated. Bosnia and Herzegovina will have to address any recommendations from the OSCE/ODIHR, said the Head of the European Union Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU Special Representative, Ambassador Peter Sorensen, during today's visit to the Main Counting Center in Sarajevo, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Member of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ahmed Šantić and Director of the Vote Counting Center Ermin Kos welcomed Ambassador Sorensen and informed him about the activities and work of the Vote Counting Center.

Ambassador Sorensen reiterated the need for the swift formation of authorities at all levels, so that future governments can address the real challenges facing Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Economic reforms urgently need to create new jobs and improve people's lives, as stated in the Growth and Employment Agreement. Bosnia and Herzegovina must step up its efforts on the path to the EU. Specifically, the issue of coordination needs to be resolved so that BiH can access significant EU funds - emphasized Ambassador Sorensen.
