Sorensen stated: Something will have to change with the arrival of new officials

Peter Sorensen, the European Union's Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited a polling station at Primary School "Mehmed beg Kapetanović Ljubušak" in Sarajevo and spoke with observers, inquiring about the voting process, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

- In the previous days, we called on citizens to come out and participate in the democratic process. Those who come out to vote have the right to say something, while those who stay home, who decide not to vote, have given that right to someone else. I can't wait to see the numbers, the voter turnout indicators, which we will hopefully have by 9 PM tonight – Sorensen said.

He sent a message to those who will be elected to respect and appreciate the honor bestowed upon them by being elected as officials, and to do their job and lead this country into the EU.

- These elections are not intended for you, but for the citizens of this country who elected you. Something will have to change with the arrival of the newly elected officials, because BiH is the only country in the Balkans that is lagging behind – Sorensen told the future officials.
