(Patria) - Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative in BiH, Ambassador Luigi Soreca believes that the approval of the Reform Agenda for BiH is the result of great work by BiH officials and civil servants, as well as their EU partners.
Soreca says the process involved months of tough negotiations, dialogue, consensus-building, and constructive decision-making by political actors in the public interest.
"This is a huge step for the country, but it is only the beginning. Bosnia and Herzegovina must now implement the reforms its authorities have committed to.
For every reform implemented, there will be an investment, totaling up to 976.6 million euros.
The first tranche of 68.4 million euros in pre-financing will be disbursed soon after the BiH authorities ratify the Instrument Agreement and the Loan Agreement," Soreca wrote on platform X.

He emphasizes that progress in Bosnia and Herzegovina is possible when there is political will.
"We hope that the same spirit of consensus that led to the adoption of the Reform Agenda will also lead to the adoption of two laws on the judiciary, and the appointment of the chief negotiator and his team, in order to continue BiH's movement on the path towards the EU," Soreca concluded.
