Soreca and EU Member State Ambassadors Meet with Cvijanović in the BiH Presidency: Respect the Constitutional Order, Citizens Want a European BiH

(Patria) - EU Delegation Head Luigi Soreca today, together with other ambassadors, attended a meeting at the BiH Presidency hosted by the Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović.

Soreca stated that the ambassadors emphasized that political leaders must respect the constitutional order of the country, work on finding common ground in a spirit of dialogue and compromise, and respect the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary.

"Actions that deepen divisions and raise tensions are unacceptable.

The EU remains unequivocally committed to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU perspective of the country as a unique and united country.

BiH has a historic opportunity to open EU accession negotiations. The citizens of BiH want a European future, and it is the responsibility of political actors to turn it into reality," Soreca stated.
