Sonja Karadžić briefly: Spent the war in Pale, and asked for BiH to finance visits to Radovan

Sonja Karadžić, daughter of war criminal Radovan Karadžić and former president of Republika Srpska, entered the National Assembly of Republika Srpska as a candidate for SDS Pale, the same Pale that was her father's wartime stronghold from where he devised plans to destroy Sarajevo and bring about the disappearance of the Muslim people!

Leading Bosnian and regional media outlets have reported this news, and the initial reactions indicate that this is a sad reality and that we have not moved far from 1992, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

WHO IS SONJA KARADŽIĆ?

At the beginning of the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to witness testimonies, Sonja was in Pale, where she worked on organizing national propaganda, and for a time she was the secretary of the Ministry of Information of the "Serbian Republic".

Later, she founded the radio station "Sveti Jovan" (1997), which was searched by SFOR in 2003, checking the content of computers and premises. During the war, there was a military command there, and broadcasting ceased in 2004.

By the decision of High Representative Miroslav Lajčak, in January 2008, passports and identity cards of members of the Karadžić family were confiscated due to suspicion of aiding in the hiding of the criminal, and they were banned from leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina.

STATEMENTS ABOUT FATHER RADOVAN

Radovan Karadžić was arrested on July 21, 2008, in Belgrade. In 2009, his daughter stated that "there is no chance that a Serb will have a fair trial".

In 2010, she said that the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina should finance their family so that they could visit Karadžić.

- The Hague Tribunal is not a court of justice, but merely a kind of NATO disciplinary commission - is one of her statements.

After it was announced in July that she would be an SDS candidate in the General Elections in 2014, and during the same period when Radovan Karadžić's trial was being held in The Hague, she said that he should be released immediately.

Her connection with the wife of war criminal Željko Ražnatović Arkan, Ceca, was shown at her concert on August 30, 2014, in Istočno Sarajevo.

- There is some secret connection... For friendships that last and souls that sometimes understand each other best in silence - Sonja wrote along with a photo posted with Ceca.

In an interview for vesti-online.com, she said that she hopes that an initiative will be launched in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska to pass a resolution that will legally prohibit and punish the calling of this entity (RS, author's note) genocidal.

It is very possible that she will be the one to initiate this issue.

It should be recalled that on October 6, the opening of the student dormitory of the University of East Sarajevo took place in Pale, which will bear the name of war criminal Radovan Karadžić. It was opened by the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, Prime Minister of RS Željka Cvijanović with the wife of the criminal Karadžić, Ljiljana Karadžić. However, it is interesting that no significant connection between Sonja and Dodik was noticed. Whether something will change soon, given the rivalry between SNSD and SDS, will be shown in the coming period.
