Softić: FBiH Government Has Not Yet Requested an Extraordinary Session

If the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina requests an extraordinary session due to the package of laws on aid for flood victims, we will schedule that session, Safet Softić, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, told the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

The FBiH Government today adopted three draft laws regulating the collection and distribution of aid, introducing a self-contribution, and the possibility of allocating state property to those affected.

Softić says that they in the Parliament had hoped the Government would submit the proposals before the sessions held in the past few days, but that it was only done today.

- The next regular session is planned for June 25 and 26 this year. But, if the Government requests an extraordinary session, we will consider it – Softić adds.

In principle, he says that the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Club had requested the adoption of such regulations, and has a positive stance.

- We asked the government to do this and we will see what is written in those proposals. There is also the right to amend, and if necessary, we will use it – Softić adds.
