Softić: SDA Collegium did not take a stance to support the dismissal of Zlatko Lagumdžija

We had a party collegium today where, among other things, we discussed the initiative to dismiss Zlatko Lagumdžija, but the SDA has not yet taken any official stance and this issue remains open - confirmed for the Bosnian news agency Patria Safet Softić, vice-president of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA).

In mid-May this year, deputies of the Alliance for a Better Future (SBBBiH) initiated in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina the dismissal of Zlatko Lagumdžija from the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, citing widespread public dissatisfaction with the work of the current government and explicitly calling for Lagumdžija's removal.

The portal Klix.ba reported today, citing several unnamed sources, that at one of the upcoming sessions of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, deputies of the SDA Club will also vote for Lagumdžija's dismissal. However, Softić could not confirm such a thing for Patria.

- There is no urgency that would require the party to take a stance on this matter immediately. This certainly remains an open issue, which, I assume, will be discussed at the next session of the party's Presidency – said Softić.
