Softić to file request for revision of lawsuit

Sakib Softić, BiH representative before the International Court of Justice, is currently in the Netherlands where he plans to file a request for revision of the lawsuit of BiH against Serbia for genocide.

The BiH delegation also includes a member of Bakir Izetbegović's office.

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Mladen Ivanić, will hold an extraordinary session of the Presidency tomorrow. Regardless of the outcome of this meeting, the request for revision will be submitted. A great deal of criticism has been directed at the third Presidency member, Dragan Čović, who said that the revision could not be initiated on behalf of BiH, and that both Ivanić and he had explained this to Izetbegović.

Ivanić is in Belgrade as we speak, with Milorad Dodik, President of RS. They are attending meetings with Aleksandar Vučić, Serbia's Prime Minister, and Tomislav Nikolić, President of Serbia. They will conclude the meetings with a joint stance on the position their personnel is supposed to take in the institutions, considering that a recent session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament Assembly was boycotted, as well as the Council of Ministers' session with 3 ministers from the Alliance for Changes absent.

The verdict of The Hague Court from 2007 stated that Serbia was not responsible for the genocide but was guilty of not preventing it. The court set a deadline of 10 years for revision.
