Sobotka discussed the security situation in BiH with the EUFOR Commander

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Chairman of the National Council of the Austrian Parliament Wolfgang Sobotka visited EUFOR at Camp Butmir in Sarajevo today.

After the inspection of the honor guard of the Multinational Battalion of EUFOR, Sobotka held a meeting with the Commander of EUFOR, Major General Martin Dorfer.

At the meeting, Sobotka and the Commander of EUFOR discussed the political and security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the participation of the Austrian contingent in the EUFOR mission, EUFOR announced.

Speaking about the EUFOR mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chairman Sobotka said: "I am very impressed by the soldiers serving in Operation "Althea"; Austria is fully committed to supporting the EUFOR mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.".

The EUFOR mission includes 15 EU member states and five non-member states, and Austria is one of the participating countries in the mission with the largest number of soldiers.
