SNSD seeks votes of displaced Serbs

LAKTAŠI, (Patria) - A gathering of associations of expelled Serbs from Croatia and displaced persons from Bosnia and Herzegovina is being held tonight at Hotel Jezero in the Trn settlement in Laktaši.

The gathering is expected to be attended by the President of the entity of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, as well as the President of the entity's parliament, Nedeljko Čubrilović, reports the Patria agency.

In addition to displaced Serbs, representatives of several veterans' and war veterans' organizations from Republika Srpska will also be present.

The election campaign in Bosnia and Herzegovina began a year before the October elections, and political parties are trying to involve as many organizations as possible, as well as religious communities, in their campaigns.

The authorities in the entity of Republika Srpska are facing a severe economic crisis, as well as serious allegations of crime. Analysts assess that, because of this, they will base their election campaign precisely on the national matrix, in order to divert attention from key problems.
