SNSD saves itself by tying flags with HDZ and affirms the creation of a third entity

The president of the National Democratic Party, Dragan Čavić, confirmed today that none of the party's MPs in the National Assembly of RS and the BiH Parliament have accepted SNSD's offer to join their parliamentary majority, reports the Patria news agency.

All NDP MPs were contacted individually by SNSD representatives in order to achieve a parliamentary majority for forming the government.

"SNSD's intention is to try to pull MPs from opposition parties, but as far as NDP is concerned, they will not succeed," Čavić told a press conference in Banja Luka.

According to him, the Alliance for Changes is seriously working on forming a parliamentary majority at both the RS and BiH levels, claiming they have good chances of forming a majority.

"The fact is that the parties of the current ruling majority in Republika Srpska won 39 of their own mandates in the elections, and to reach the number of 42, which is necessary for a parliamentary majority, they need mandates from coalition partners DNS, the Serbian Progressive Party, and the Serbian Radical Party," Čavić said.

He also stated that for NDP, it is "shocking that SNSD is saving itself by tying flags with HDZ and thus affirming their policy of destroying 'Dayton' and forming a third entity", which is completely unacceptable for NDP, as it endangers RS as well.

The leader of NDP condemned the Central Election Commission's decision to reject the Alliance for Changes' request for a recount of ballots for the president of Republika Srpska, which, he says, fuels suspicions of election theft.
