SNSD will not support SDA's proposal for the Election Law, HDZ stated they are not interested in the status of the election process

(Patria) - A meeting of parliamentary clubs with members of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina is underway in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

Technical amendments to the Election Law are being discussed, as well as the proposal for the Election Law submitted by the Party of Democratic Action.

We remind you that the deputies of the House of Representatives of BiH are expected to consider the Proposal for Amendments to the Election Law, proposed by SDA deputies, at an urgent session on Friday.

“I reiterated the position that illegally elected members of the CEC, who were not elected in the manner they should have been, and that representatives of political parties are present there, who organized a meeting with a part of the deputies of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH where they presented us in oral form the introduction of new technologies during the election process, will not have our support. In order to protect the election process, the issue of CEC members, appointments, and political affiliation should be raised. They should be an independent body, and they are not, and they are telling us how the election process should look. SNSD will not support SDA's proposal for amendments to the Election Law,” said Miroslav Vujičić from SNSD.

Zdenko Ćosić from HDZ says that they have heard some possibilities, and that he is not interested in the status of the election process.

“At this moment, the status of the election process is being discussed, and I was not interested in that because it is not the topic of the meeting. I expected concrete proposals from the CEC and technological novelties. We haven't heard anything about that either, just some possibilities. The CEC and its members said that they proposed it, and that the parliamentarians will have the final say,” said Ćosić.
