SNSD and Dodik Start Election Campaign from Srebrenica

Milorad Dodik and his SNSD will officially launch their election campaign for the Local Elections on October 2nd in Srebrenica on Friday at 7 PM. Dodik will address supporters at the Culture Center, writes Patria.

Srebrenica is a symbol of the suffering of Bosniaks during the recent aggression against BiH. The army and police of the then still unrecognized Republic of Srpska, aided by neighboring Serbia, killed more than 8,000 Bosniaks in 1995, mostly men and boys, who were in the UN protected zone.

Authorities from RS have never acknowledged the genocide in Srebrenica, although the International Court of Justice in The Hague has issued several sentences against former high-ranking officials of the Serb army and police. The leader of Bosnian Serbs, Radovan Karadžić, was also provisionally sentenced for genocide in Srebrenica to 40 years in prison.

Milorad Dodik denies that genocide was committed in Srebrenica, although he acknowledged it in a public TV appearance in 2008, writes Patria.
