Snowstorm hits US, four people dead

The United States has been battling snowfall and low temperatures since Tuesday, in which four people have lost their lives, local media report, according to the BH News Agency.
The storm hit Buffalo, the second-largest city in New York, the hardest.

One person lost their life in a traffic accident, and three people suffered fatal heart attacks after clearing heavy snow drifts.

A large number of drivers were trapped in their vehicles for 24 hours before snowplows could reach them.

- It all looked like a nightmare. I thought the storm would never end - said one of the drivers, who waited 20 hours for rescuers to reach him.

- I haven't slept for 30 hours, I was just waiting for it all to be over.

The National Weather Service warned that snow could continue to fall on Wednesday, and in some parts, it is expected to reach a height of up to six meters, reports NAP.
