(Patria) - Snow is hindering traffic in most of Bosnia and Herzegovina. BIHAMK particularly warns about sections over mountain passes, where there is packed snow on the road and where traffic jams often occur.
Strong winds are creating snowdrifts and hindering traffic in the wider area of: Livno, Tomislavgrad, Glamoč and Bosansko Grahovo.
Additionally, due to low temperatures, we draw attention to icy conditions, especially on sections in higher areas where there is also packed snow in places, and in lower areas on bridges, viaducts and tunnel approaches.
We appeal to drivers to be cautious and to adhere to all traffic regulations. Do not set off on a journey without appropriate winter equipment.
Traffic is prohibited for heavy goods vehicles on the roads:
- Bosanski Petrovac-Drvar-Bosansko Grahovo,
- Glamoč-Mlinište and
- Drvar-Glamoč.
On the regional road Karanovac – Kneževo, the road is passable up to the place Vidovo Vrelo, and further to Kneževo driving is not recommended, as well as on the road Kneževo – Ugar. Due to great interest in the road Banja Luka-ski center Babanovac, we recommend using the road Banja Luka-Jajce-Donji Vakuf- Turbe – Babanovac.
At the border crossings: Izačić, Hadžin Potok, Velika Kladuša, Gradina, Gradiška and Orašje, there are long queues of vehicles exiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. At other border crossings, passenger vehicles do not wait longer than 30 minutes.
Due to difficult winter conditions, traffic for heavy goods vehicles at the Izačić border crossing has been suspended.
