Snow is falling continuously, traffic collapse on BiH roads

Traffic on the roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina is slow today, on wet and slippery roads, according to the Automobile-Motorcycle Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIHAMK).

Traffic is also difficult in Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the snow that began to fall in the afternoon.

In higher mountain areas, sleet or snow is falling and in some places it is accumulating on the road. The following routes are highlighted: Sarajevo – Rogatica (Romanija), Trnovo – Foča (Rogoj), Sarajevo – Tuzla (Karaula), Bihać – Bosanski Petrovac (Ripač), Bosanski Petrovac – Drvar (Oštrelj), Koprivnica – Bugojno – Kupres – Livno, Jablanica – Blidinje – Posušje, Blidinje – Tomislavgrad and Glamoč – Mlinište.

They also draw attention to falling rocks on the road. Due to a larger rockfall, traffic is suspended on the Crna Rijeka – Jajce main road, and the alternative route is via Mrkonjić Grad.

They appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution on all routes, to maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and to adjust their driving to the current road conditions.

Reconstruction works are being carried out on the main roads: Jablanica – Mostar (Begića i Begovića bridge), Novi Travnik – Bugojno (via Rostovo), Bilješevo – Lašva, Ključ – Sanski Most (at the entrance to Sanski Most, near the Water Park) and Čevljanovići – Nišići. Traffic is slow at the work sites, with alternating traffic flow.

There is increased traffic of passenger vehicles exiting Bosnia and Herzegovina at the border crossings: Velika Kladuša, Gradina, Bosanska Dubica and Bosanska Gradiška. At other border crossings, passenger vehicles do not wait longer than 30 minutes.
