Snowfall in most of Bosnia is hindering traffic

(Patria) - Snowfall in most of Bosnia is hindering traffic, especially on sections in higher mountain areas. A traffic ban for trucks over Romanija (Sarajevo-Rogatica) is currently in effect.

There is snow on the road on the following routes: Sarajevo-Tuzla (Nišići and Karaula), Trnovo-Foča (Rogoj), Han Pijesak-Vlasenica (Han Pogled), Ripač-Vrtoče, Bosanski Petrovac-Drvar (via Oštrelj), Ključ-Bosanski Petrovac (Lanište), Kupres-Šuica, Glamoč-Mlinište, Jablanica-Posušje (Blidinje) and Prozor-Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje (via Makljen).

There is slushy snow on the roads in lower areas, the road surface is wet and slippery, so we ask drivers to drive with maximum caution and to adjust their driving to the current road conditions. Maintain a safe distance between vehicles and be sure to use your seatbelt. Do not set off without winter equipment.

Due to frequent rockfalls onto the road, we highlight the following roads: Bihać-Srbljani-Bosanska Krupa, Turbe-Karanovac, Crna Rijeka-Jajce-Donji Vakuf, Bugojno-Kupres and Sarajevo-Foča, as well as the Rostovo pass (Novi Travnik-Bugojno).

Renovation works are ongoing on the Čevljanovići-Nišići and Ključ-Sanski Most routes (at the entrance to Sanski Most, near the Water Park). Traffic is alternating, one lane at a time, at the locations where works are being carried out, reports BIHAMK.

At the border crossings: Velika Kladuša, Gradina, Bosanska Dubica and Bosanska Gradiška, there are long queues of passenger vehicles exiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. At other border crossings, waiting times are currently shorter.
