Snow and ice slow down traffic on roads in BiH

In the western and northwestern parts of our country, there is ice on the road, as well as packed snow in places up to 5 cm, and in these areas on sections in higher regions, the use of chains for cargo vehicles is mandatory, reports the Patria news agency.

In other parts of our country, the road is partially covered with snow and traffic is slower, without delays. Road service teams are in the field carrying out necessary interventions. In the south of our country, traffic is moving on mostly wet roads, and we also draw attention to frequent landslides. We advise drivers to drive more cautiously, adapting to current conditions and road conditions. We appeal to drivers not to set off without winter equipment, the possession of which is legally mandatory for all categories of vehicles.

Due to the holiday, Orthodox Christmas, the transport of explosive materials is prohibited in the area of BiH until midnight tonight.

Due to bad weather conditions in Croatia, at the border crossings Izačić and Velika Kladuša, traffic is banned for cargo vehicles over 3.5 tons. At other border crossings, waiting times are currently no longer than 20 minutes, announced by BIHAMK.
