Snow and ice are hindering traffic in BiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - On roads in higher mountain areas, there is occasional packed snow and ice, and due to low temperatures, there is also ice in lower areas, especially on bridges and near tunnels, warns BIHAMK.

- Strong winds are causing snowdrifts on some sections, and we highlight the roads Ripač-Vrtoče-Bosanski Petrovac and Bosanski Petrovac-Oštrelj-Drvar. Traffic is also difficult due to snow on the roads Kupres-Šuica and Priluka-Glamoč-Mlinište, as well as in the wider area of Bosanski Grahovo and Romanija. We also warn of frequent landslides on numerous sections. In the southern regions, we draw attention to the strong wind. We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution and not to set off without winter equipment - it was announced from BIHAMK.

Due to works in the Crnaja tunnel on the Konjic-Jablanica road, traffic is alternating, one lane, during the day, while traffic is suspended at night (from 11:30 PM to 4:30 AM).

On the Jajce-Donji Vakuf main road, due to works in the Skela tunnel, traffic is alternating, one lane, during the day. At night (from 10 PM to 6 AM), traffic is suspended and diverted to the bypass around the tunnel (Metaling factory circle).

Among other roads with ongoing works, we highlight the roads: Olovo-Kladanj (Olovske Luke), Jablanica-Mostar (section from Komadinovo vrelo to Begića i Begovića bridge), Doboj-Gračanica (in Klokotnica), Grude-Ljubuški (at the exit from Grude) and Stolac-Hutovo (in Cerovica).

- Due to an activated landslide, traffic on the Foča-Goražde main road section (in Filipovići) is slow, with one lane.

Due to winter driving conditions in Croatia, heavy goods vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers cannot use the Izačić border crossing. There are no long delays at other border crossings - it was announced from BIHAMK.
